Biography
A graduate in business administration from La Cité Collégiale, Mr. Lapalme has also completed the Canadian Securities Course as well as the planning course from the Canadian Securities Institute. He is a qualified investment advisor who helps people move toward fulfilling their financial goals.
With more than 17 years in the financial services field, he has always focused on excellence and the quality of his work in building his reputation. In-depth knowledge of his clients and sound judgment enable him to create portfolios that meet their investment goals in the short, medium and long term.
His experience as an investment advisor has given him a solid understanding of stock markets and has involved him in trading various types of securities, including bonds, stocks, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds. His approach focuses on prudence, planning for fulfilment of financial and estate goals, minimization of tax impacts and diversification and strategic allocation of assets.
His clientele consists of people who have substantial portfolios, but especially people seeking personalized professional advice to manage their assets more effectively.

Matthieu is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) who studied business administration at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and the University of Ottawa. He has been in the financial services industry since 2014 and joined Desjardins Securities in 2018 as an investment advisor.
To ensure he fully understands the financial circumstances of his clients, Matthieu centres his advisory approach around listening, integrity and trust so he can make recommendations that are tailored to their needs and goals. Being raised by parents who were entrepreneurs has given him a solid understanding of the reality and sometimes complex challenges faced by business owners.
At Desjardins Securities, his colleagues appreciate his extensive knowledge of taxation and he’s the go-to reference when it comes to emerging industry trends. Mathieu likes to stay informed so he can be a source of credible and high-quality information.
Originally from the Quebec City area, he’s lived in the Outaouais region since 2004 with his wife, Chloé, and their daughter, Charlotte. He loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time in nature.
